Collaborative Effort between DaimlerChrysler Canada, CAW and the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit Continues to Receive Industry Accolades

Windsor, Ontario, Oct 14, 2005 -- The Canadian Healthcare Manager magazine has awarded DaimlerChrysler Canada, the Canadian Auto Workers and the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit with its “Who’s Who in Healthcare, Employer Award” at today’s seventh annual Who’s Who in Health Care Awards ceremony.
* DaimlerChrysler Canada , the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) and the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit have been recognized by Canadian Healthcare Manager magazine for the unique partnership in delivering a national proactive employee wellness program.

* In 2004, the National Quality Institute honoured this unique collaborative partnership between the company, the union and the local health unit for the innovative health, safety and wellness initiatives delivered to DaimlerChrysler Canada employees, retirees and their families. The NQI award established the Working Toward Wellness at DCCI program as an industry benchmark.

The “Who’s Who in Healthcare, Employer Award” represents exceptional service in arranging for the delivery of plan benefits, workplace health programs or related services to employees.

“We are proud to share this Who’s Who In Healthcare, Employer Award with the CAW and the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit,” says Rick Thrasher, Senior Manager, Salary, Benefits and Hourly Compensation. “We are dedicated to delivering quality programs that address the needs and health concerns of our employees and their families.
